What about leaving one sidewalk open to bikes and pedestrians? Biking up to 694 or down to Plymouth adds many extra miles to a biking commute and would be impossible for a walker.

This is a comfortable neighborhood coffee shop and eatery where you can meet friends, enjoy a snack, listen to great music on Saturdays, and just connect with community. They have awesome local artists that exibit thier work, and this cozy corner of the street business beckons you in, for a soymilk Latte' (if that's your thing) and sometimes even a massage. This place stands WAY out beyond the big corporate coffee joints. From someone who lives a stones throw away, I can say you will not regret stopping into this new community hotspot.

The concrete deck on the Camden bridge is shot (and so are the steel railings). They've been spending two months patching it up each spring for the past several years, and it just keeps deteriorating even more rapidly. As the city has been throwing good money after bad on this bridge for so long, this rehab/rebuild is years overdue.

Unfortunately, the timing is awful. While they were busy playing political games and postponing this project, old man river was busy washing the 100 year old piers out from under the Lowry bridge. It's going to suck having both the Lowry and the Camden bridges out.

The Plymouth bridge is a good alternate to the Broadway bridge if you're driving. Traffic is much lighter than Broadway; use it if you can. If you're walking, God help you. I just hope nobody with the bright idea to walk across one of the railroad bridges gets killed.

I believe that the need for this library within the community is strong enough that plans should go forward using the space that has been acquired so far. If the new library can't front onto the parkway as a result, okay it can't. That is too bad, but the neighborhood should not have to suffer a dirth of resources because of it. There is a great deal of room at the proposed site, far more than is available at the current Webber Park site and it is far more visible and accessible. We need the asset more than we need the asthetics!

Great coffee shop. I have been sending this link to my clients. I would suggest adding a Google map or link to this piece for the folks who are new to the neighborhood.

How truly sad this turn of events is for the Webber-Camden community! I've attended several neighborhood association meetings this year and listened with growing anticipation to information about the proposed library.

The potential loss of this library is truly a loss to the entire neighborhood.
