<p>The Metro Paint-A-Thon helps low-income seniors and people with permanent physical disabilities continue to live independently in their own homes. A volunteer team is matched to scrape, prime and paint the exterior of each eligible home/garage, thereby keeping it well maintained, beautiful and an asset to the neighborhood.  All of this is done at no cost to the homeowner.</p>
<p>Applications with eligibility requirements are available at the FNA/WCNO office (1206 37th Avenue north, Monday through Thursday, 9am until 5pm) or call Metro Paint-A-Thon at 612-276-1579. The application may also be downloaded from the Metro Paint-A-Thon website: paintathon.gmcc.org (go to the &#8220;homeowner application&#8221; on the left).</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Minnesota Housing and the Center for Energy and Environment offer low interest loans for Minnesota homeowners to make improvements in their homes. The Center for Energy and Environment, a Minneapolis based non-profit organization, serves as the lender for this program and will assist homeowners through the loan process.</p>
<p><strong>Program Terms<br />
</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5.99% fixed interest rate</li>
<li>$35,000 maximum loan amount</li>
<li>20 year maximum term</li>
<li>Income limits apply</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Project Eligibility</strong> &#8211; Eligible improvements include most interior and exterior permanent improvements including kitchen, flooring, windows, driveways, fences, energy improvements and more! You may do the work yourself or hire a contractor, if you hire a contractor, a Contractor Warranty must be signed.</p>
<p><strong>Property Eligibility</strong>: 1-4 unit owner occupied properties in the state of Minnesota.</p>
<p>For your application to be processed, please submit the following:</p>
<ul>
<li>Completed and signed application by everyone over the age of 18 in the household</li>
<li>Employment Verification</li>
<li>At least 1 bid for each project</li>
<li>Contractor Warranty (not required for &#8220;do it yourself&#8221; projects</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Employment Verification Details:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>If you are employed, submit your 2 most recent year to date payroll stubs;</li>
<li>If you are self-employed, submit the first 2 pages of your 1040 federal tax returns and Schedule C for the last 2 years</li>
<li style="text-align: left;">If you are retired, submit your proof of benefits (social security, pension, etc.)</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Improvements  may NOT begin prior to closing your loan with CEE</strong></p>
