Whether you are an experienced gardener or have never tried gardening before, these eco-friendly gardening workshops will help you learn how to:

  • Use native plants in your garden landscape
  • Limit fertilizers and pesticides without compromising a beautiful yard
  • Capture rainwater on site with rain gardens
  • Redirect your downspouts
  • Plan your garden.  Location! Location! Location!
  • Plan your own garden with one-on-one assistance from landscape designers and Hennepin Master Gardeners.

Participants are also eligible for a low-cost onsite consultation and raingarden design drawing.

The workshop at North Regional Library is a different format from our other Part A and Part B workshops offered in Minneapolis.  This workshop, and others like it in some of the suburban locations, is of the Combined A/B workshop type or better known as our Raingarden Workshop and Design Studio.   The entire workshop runs from 1-4 PM, with a short break in between the two sections.

Raingarden Workshop and Design Studio (A & B Combined) -$15

This workshop combines Part A and Part B into a fast-paced and focused three-hour format designed to move participants quickly from an overview of rain gardens and their benefits to a completed raingarden design for their property. Before attending participants complete a homework assignment and will arrive with basic information about a proposed raingarden project.
