What a gorgeous day for running a race! The day was “perfect” – cool in the early morning (great for the runners) with the sun shining and a light breeze. The weather made everything sparkle – from the runners to the scenery. The Victory Labor Day Races – 10K, 5K and Kids’ Run were jam-packed. The 10K had 527 finishers, 5K-328 and the Kids’ Run had about 45 – everyone was fast, from the kids to the seniors. During the races, a free community picnic was provided by Folwell Neighborhood Association (FNA) and Webber-Camden Neighborhood Organizationi (WCNO). The runners, their families, friends and folks from the Camden Community were invited to eat free hot dogs, chips and lemonade — and ate they did! Thanks go out the Minnesota Distance Running Association (MDRA) for putting on a terrific race, the race and picnic volunteers, the Camden Lions Club for cooking and serving the hot dogs, and staffs from MDRA, Folwell Neighborhood Association (FNA) and Webber.
Check out some photos and videos from the race!
